My Prezi on Music Magazines
When learning about music magazines, it is important to research the background of each magazine so that one will have a key concept of how the media companies produced and published them. This is so that we know where each magazine was founded from. By researching the background it can give us inspiration, especially for when making our own music magazines and this is why I have made a prezi researching some music magazines. I have also compared the examples that I have picked out so that it gives my audience and I an idea of how different music magazines can attract a different audience.
I undertook this task because I felt that it would help me and give me an idea of how to make a music magazine. I have found that to have a successful magazine, you need to use a well known celebrity (especially in pop music magazines) to attract a demographics attention. I have also learnt that the use of colour code is important because it has the power to change the mood of the front cover of the magazine and this will reinforce the customers decision whether to by one magazine compared to another. Overall this task has been helpful to me because it gives me a better understanding of the history of music magazines as well as what is effective on the front cover, and when I will eventually make a music magazine I will keep in mind all I have learnt from this task in order to succeed.

Natasha, this Prezi needs a formal introduction and explanation. You do introduce the task on the opening slide but this needs to be within the post itself.
ReplyDeleteWhen writing the introduction and explanation think about these questions: Why did you undertake this task? What did you learn from it? How will it impact the outcome of your final product?
For the Prezi itself, take a look at some of the language you are using, 'rock star fans' is not a demographic, target audience maybe? Be sure that the research you are carrying out is thorough and grounded in theoretical fact. The correct use of media language and terminology is key to successfully getting your point across when analysing texts.
Also, take your analysis further, question everything. Why does it use that font? What effect does it have on the audience?
